Oil on
canvas, gallery wrapped. Painting called Red Planet was painted
with big trowels giving it a thick texture - red on darker red
with yellow mixed in. It has finally dried into a more muted reality
that has a calmness despite its passionate red. It has something
that makes me want to look at it continually. Don't think this
painting means nothing because there is no subject. It is a color
field painting saying things that have no words. It is ever changing
and mysterious. It is my one rare painting.
