  • Cecil Herring has been a practicing artist for 52 years; shown sculpture, paintings, digital art, wearable art and jewelry in galleries and museums internationally and in New York, Miami, and Orlando.
    A Miami native, Cecil began art studies at 21 in Miami, going on to study at U. of Florida, and receiving a BA at U.C.F. in 1986. She studied painting at the U. of Florida with Hiram Williams and P.R. McIntosh and with Emil Holzhauer, a student of great American painter Robert Henri. Cecil also studied welding at Brevard C. C, casting at U.C.F, electroforming and jewelry at Arrowmont School of Crafts, Gatlinburg, TN.
    Her paintings, sculptures, wearable art works, experimental mixed media works and one of a kind jewelry pieces are in many collections. A former photojournalist and feature writer for Florida Today, Melbourne Times, Reuters and Fairchild Publications, She has been invited to exhibit works online on websites in many countries including the NASA website.     She studied digital art at Brevard Community Collage, Florida Atlantic U. and graduated from McFatter Technical School in 1995 with certification in Photoshop, Quark, and Illustrator.
    Her works were shown in Beijing, China, Art Fair 2004, Cologne, Germany, where she showed 5 digital works beamed on a 30 ft. Electronic Wall in an International show with 12 artists from Japan, U.S. Australia and Germany. She won a Kodak Innovator Award for large format digital pinting and had digital work published in Photography, 7th Ed. Prentice Hall.
